Happy Holidays! It's been a good year, we've been on several great outings.
Last season's patrolling at Sierra At Tahoe was only 2 days long. The resort had been burned in the Caldor fire, and could only open a limited area, in celebration of their 75th anniversary.
During COVID, we got a rock-crawler Jeep Wrangler, and we've been having fun running around the woods in that, summer or winter.
In fall, 2021, we bought 3.5 acres near North Fork, Idaho. It's across highway 93 from some friends that we enjoy visiting when we go to work on the property.
In June, we went to Ireland for 2 weeks, starting with "Bloom's Day" (see James Joyce). We had a great time seeing the sights, and drove ourselves about 1000 miles during the trip. Highlights included Malin Head, Cliffs of Moher, and several great pubs.
In September, we visited New York. The initial excuse was to go to a wedding, but we extended the trip on both ends. On the front end, we spent 3 days in lower Manhattan, seeing the WTC memorials and museum, and also seeing Hugh Jackman in the Music Man on Broadway. On the back end, we went up to Boston and toured around the places where our country was born.
Ski season has rolled around again, and we're looking forward to another year of patrolling -- THINK SNOW!
